Bump recently started letting us bump multiple photos at a time to other iPhones with Bump on them. And now Bump has started letting us pass music to other iPhones. Of course, they aren’t letting us pass music for free, “Music Sharing! Select songs on your device and bump them to a friend. They can stream them for free from Youtube, listen to iTunes previews, or buy them on iTunes”. In other words, you Bumping a link to a Youtube vid or a song preview (provided by iTunes). It’s a natural income stream for the Bump devs.
A thought comes to mind. Remember when the Microsoft folks announced that music on the Zune could be shared between devices three times. I wonder if Steve would approve of Bump’s new systems since he was quoted when asked about the Zune method (Original interview on Newsweek): “I’ve seen the demonstrations on the Internet about how you can find another person using a Zune and give them a song they can play three times. It takes forever. By the time you have gone through all that, the girl’s got up and left! You’re much better off to take one of your earbuds out and put it in her ear. Then you’re connected with about two feet of headphone cable.”
